Today was the first day of school. Dylan started 6th grade with Mrs. Broadhead and Alesha started 3rd grade with Mr. Rindlisbacher. They were both very excited and not as nervous as previous years. Last night we had family home evening and Branden gave the kids priesthood blessings. I think the spirit really helped them today. Dylan is in a class with ALL of his friends. Jaden Byers, Andrew Searle and even Bryson Linell from his Sunbeam class. I think it will be a great year for him. Alesha only has one good friend in her class, Carsyn Fontaine, but I think she will be okay. She was worried about having a man teacher but came home saying that he's the best teacher she's ever had.
Jenna had a rough time without her brother and sister. She kept coming to me and saying "we Forgot to pick up the kids!" or "When will dylan and sesh be home?" It was cute and sad for her. She will start pre school in two weeks.
One thing I love about school is the back to school supplies. Usually I wait to give them to the kids until the morning school starts but the couldn't stand the wait so we had to do it Sunday night. It was like CHRISTMAS! Who doesn't love the smell of a newly sharpened pencil!
