Jenna's Preschool Field Trip
Yesterday May 22nd I took Jenna & my nephew, Sam, to Wheeler Farm for their preschool field trip. It was so fun to see the baby animals! Lots of ducklings, goslings, a calf, a few piglets, lots of lambs & kids (baby goats) with no ears. I was surprised that Sam ran right up to the horses. He hasn't always been so easy going with animals. Jenna was a little more hesitant but not much. She let the lambs and goats lick her fingers. She LOVED the rabbits. They almost got "wet" on by a GIANT Pig! I was laughing too hard to even take a picture. We took a fun wagon ride through the farm. (Yes, they are wearing coats! It was rainy and cold for the end of May.) It's amazing that such a place exists right in the middle of the city! So here's my Promo for Wheeler farm (9th east 6351 south). It's a great, free place to spend and afternoon!

The Heaton Kids
This weekend my nephew Ty was baptized. My parents and all of my four siblings and their families came for the big event. There are 16 kids and they LOVE to play together. It's totally great because we don't have to entertain them at all just referee a bit. Thanks to Michelle for being a great Hostess!
We always have such a great time together! We eat, visit, laugh, clean up and then do it all again. I thought this picture was HILARIOUS! Somehow my brother, sisters and I all ended up without spouses or children and promptly fell asleep! From top, my brother Jared, me, Laura, Allison & Michelle. I am really grateful that we are so close. It's a real blessing to be friends with my brother and sisters. Here's to our great parents that taught us to get along with each other even though we have TOTALLY different personalities!

1st Piano Recital
Dylan and Alesha started piano lessons in February. They are both doing really well and are cruising through the beginner books. On Saturday May 3rd they had their first piano recital. I was so pleased with them. They both had the pieces memorized (for about 2 months now!) and were very brave to get up on stage.
