5 kids for a Week

For most of the last week we have had five children. Sam age 3 & Morgan age 6 have stayed with us while Dorian & Laura were on vacation in Maui.

First, to my friends and family with 5 kids YOU ARE AMAZING! I can't imagine how you do it day in/day out. With the schedules and the homework afternoons have been CRAZY. Morning showers or baths have been ciaos! Laundry was spread from heck to breakfast!I run the dishwasher twice a day and there is certainly not enough room on my lap for all five of them!

It has been fun though. The kids pretty much entertain each other. The girls played dress up and danced around and the boys played wii.

It was fun to get to know Morgan and Sam better. It would have been nice to know before hand that it takes an hour and a half to dry Morgan's hair and Sam absolutely hates any kind of medicine (No worries Laura, he just had a cough. I mixed it with applesauce and he didn't have a problem.) Church was wild. We put the kids on the bench in front us so we could smack them if the got out of line.

It's funny, but now that Morgan and Sam have gone it seems kind of quiet around here!

My Blue Eyed Babies

Susan's been after me forever to start a blog but it seemed too big of a task, but when I took these pictures I thought, "I could blog this!" So... Here it is.

My Blue Eyed Babies.
I guess they aren't really babies any more. Dylan is 10, Alesha is 7 and Jenna just turned 4. But they will always be My babies. I'm not sure what they inherited from me. Probably all the bad things like not having rhythm, singing just off key, hanging on to clutter and staying up all night to read a book but I know they got their blue eyes from me. I love to look into their eyes. I love the feeling of one-ness with them individually and collectively. I know the time will come when they won't want me to lay by them in their beds at bedtime and I won't know every detail of their lives. For now I will enjoy those moments and take every chance I get to Look into their eyes and tell them that I love them.
